One of the primary artists, supplying material for "Why Is It?", was George J. Evans Jr. Mr. Evans, brother of Orrin C Evans, was one of the contributers and creators of "All Negro Comics # 1". Mr. Evans was the author/artist of "Lion Man", reputed to be the first Black comic book super hero.
